Irish film makes a welcome début in Tampere, Finland, in the inaugural Irish Film Festival held from Friday September 18th through to Thursday September 24th 2009.
Organised by the Embassy of Ireland in Finland and Pirkanmaa Film Centre, the festival will be showing a selection of feature length films and short stories that include titles such as Leonard Abrahamson's Garage (2007), Jim Sheridan's My Left Foot (1989) and Niall Heery's Small Engine Repair (2006).
