Endangered species, not the idiots

I checked intentionally all the endangered species lists I could find, but unfortunately there is a kind that is not included and the unfortunately goes to the idiots because that is the only species not endangered, on the contrary they seem to thrive all around the globe and somehow the election of Barack Obama triggered their exit from their holes with the most unbelievable comments.

And be aware I’m not talking about the idiots in the USA but our share of idiots in Europe and the excuse for my research in the endangered species lists was the comments of a supposedly known Austrian commentator with the name Klaus ‘Adolf to his friends’ Emmerich! Don’t worry more idiots are going to follow him it just happened for him to be the first; it seems that this kind of species thrives the last few years in Austria.

I’m not Austrian and I don’t live in Austria but from what I read in the media including some local, Adolf …oops sorry Klaus Emmerich I meant is not unknown in the country and he never hidden his ideas and his enormous sappiness despite the fact that the man is regarded in Austria as a political expert specializing in USA politics. I suppose the man was in coma during Clinton years and recovers only when the name Bush appears. I presume every night before going to bed he’s praying under a huge Nixon poster.

Anyway the man recollecting all his expertise about international politics and life and his superb knowledge of American politics made the following remark, 'I do not want the western world being directed by a black man. And if you say this is a racist remark, I say you are damn right it is.' If you feel like fainting, if you are younger than eighteen and if you have heart problems please do not continue because I might use …disturbing language!

By the way and I forgot to mention that he said those insightful things on national television while the American polls where showing that the next President of the United States was going to be Barack Obama.

And Adolf …oops sorry; Klaus Emmerich I meant continued “a highly disturbing development because blacks are not as far advanced in the civilization process nor in their political progress.” Oh man, he is eighty year old and you might think that suffer from dementia but then he should not be interviewed on national television and national media but in the hospital with the right treatment, then again that he was not at the hospital and he was on national television shows that the real ill is the Austrian government and in extent the Austrian society.

I know for a fact that Ovi magazine is favored from some foreign offices around Europe and I hope the Austrian foreign office is one of them because I would like an answer to something. According to the European Union all the member countries before becoming members they have to do some constitutional changes if they haven’t already harmonized their constitution with the rest CIVILIZED world, one of them and a very important one since it is part of the European Charta for the Human Rights all country members have signed protects minorities and is against any kind of racism. In all European countries there are laws that punish seriously with imprisonment the ones who violate those laws.

Austria is a full member of the European Union and a country that has signed the European Charta of Human Rights, what are they going to do now after those hate and racist messages? Isn’t the Austrian government obliged to prevent any kind of actions that will provoke racism and prejudice? Furthermore can they understand that idiots like that give voice to all the other idiots with the shaved heads and the army boots? When Berlusconi did his comment about Obama’s tan we all …smiled numb but Berlusconi is an identified idiot with long experience in gaffs and you can excuse me to a certain level because he lacks a lot of things but this comment from Adolf … oops sorry; Klaus Emmerich I meant is crossing the lines all the lines and he embarrasses me and every single civilized citizen of this planet. By the way what the other idiot, Barroso is planning to do?

The European Union a few years ago put Austria in the freeze because of an extreme right government, let’s see what the Austrian government will do know that her reputation is endangered and memories are coming since Adolf … oops sorry; Klaus Emmerich I meant was not the only fascist and racist idiot to born in Austria. Here I have to repeat that Adolf … oops sorry; Klaus Emmerich I meant is not the only one and there are many like him all around. Here in Finland the father of the Prime Minister has some equally …intelligent opinions and he has publicized them on the media and national television a few years ago.

If you have noticed I did use the word idiot often and I used it to characterize a few people as well which undoubtly proves that idiots are not included in the endangered species on the contrary the ones who are in real danger are us from the idiots that surround us!

Indeed, idiots and demagogery usually reinforce each other and they are pretty universal; no continent and no country in the world seem to be exempt from them. As that acerbic journalist, Henry Mencken, once put it: “The demagogue is one who preaches doctrines he knows to be untrue to men he knows to be idiots”

Sand2008-11-09 09:33:10
Although Mencken said many noteworthy things he was an odd character, as in this quote:
"The educated Negro of today is a failure, not because he meets insuperable difficulties in life, but because he is a Negro. His brain is not fitted for the higher forms of mental effort; his ideals, no matter how laboriously he is trained and sheltered, remain those of a clown.".

Alan2008-11-09 12:16:47
Austrian tradition?

Sand2008-11-09 14:08:14
As much as I deplore Mencken’s opinions on black people, he was a clever writer and said a few things well such as:

A church is a place in which gentlemen who have never been to heaven brag about it to persons who will never get there.

Democracy is the art and science of running the circus from the monkey cage.

Every decent man is ashamed of the government he lives under.

Faith may be defined briefly as an illogical belief in the occurrence of the improbable.

For centuries, theologians have been explaining the unknowable in terms of the-not-worth-knowing.

Giving every man a vote has no more made men wise and free than Christianity has made them good.

Have you ever watched a crab on the shore crawling backward in search of the Atlantic Ocean, and missing? That's the way the mind of man operates.

Historian: an unsuccessful novelist.

If, after I depart this vale, you ever remember me and have thought to please my ghost, forgive some sinner and wink your eye at some homely girl.

In this world of sin and sorrow there is always something to be thankful for; as for me, I rejoice that I am not a Republican.

It is even harder for the average ape to believe that he has descended from man.

It is not materialism that is the chief curse of the world, as pastors teach, but idealism. Men get into trouble by taking their visions and hallucinations too seriously.

There are, of course, many more. He is worth looking up.

Emanuel Paparella2008-11-09 15:07:44
I am curious: what Mencken a commentator or a "commenter"?

Indeed, quite often the cynic paradoxically proves and at the same time disproves what he proffers and turns even serious matters into a Punch and Judy show. Mencken and his cohorts is a case in point. I have no doubt that he ranks high in your pantheon of cynical authorities.

Emanuel Paparella2008-11-09 15:09:12
Errata above: "what" should be "was."

Alexandra Pereira2008-11-09 15:43:44
Oh God, the man (Emmerich) shoud be in a mental asylum.

Sand2008-11-09 15:53:22
I merely followed your preference for an authority, Paparella. You should be careful what tiger you decide to ride.

There was a young lady from Niger,
Who smiled as she rode on a tiger.
After the ride
She was inside,
And the smile was on the face of the tiger.

Sand2008-11-09 16:11:07
I clearly warned you on the other thread:

No statement should be believed because it is made by an authority.
Robert A. Heinlein

So you fulminated extensively about how stupid Heinlein was. Isn't it nice to gain a bit of education?

Emanuel Paparella2008-11-09 16:34:18
Is that what the voices told you? Where do I fulminated against Robert Heinlein? Nowhere, that is in you head. All I said is that it is ironic for somebody who fulminates against authority to use Heinlein as an uthority to fulminate against authority. Indeed, you should be careful as to what elephant you ride, or you may find yourself on the ground at any time. And meanwhile you may conveniently ignore the question as to whether Mencken was a "commenter" (as you spell the word on the other mentioned thread) or a commentator. Indeed, sophistry dies hard. It has been around for 2300 years.

Emanuel Paparella2008-11-09 16:45:03
Fucking Idiots

Can you not see, you stupid fools?
That what you do defines you!
That words and looks and deeds so cruel
mean happiness will never find you!

And when you make the weakling cry
in front of strangers such as I
We do not forget and pass on by
Instead, we take a breath and damn you.

Do you not realise, you fucking brutes
that time will from memories erase you?
And all you'll have gained
from their insufferable pain
are delayed realisations of the stark truth:
You're a bunch of fucking lonely wrecks,
Who no-one cares to talk to....

So listen to me you stupid morons,
I'll say it loud and clear,
Stop before the chance's gone
because the consequences are severe

Hasan Ali

Emmerich told to Die Presse in an interview published on Friday that Obama has "a devil-like talent to present his rhetoric so effectively". He was also interviewed by another newspaper. Why do Austrian tvs and newspapers even bother to interview lunatics??!

Emanuel Paparella2008-11-09 19:33:32
Since Mr. S. brought up the comments on another thread distorting them, here are the comments on the term "commenter" which he insists on using:

As I said, ask the voices to gift you with a more up-dated dictionary and utilize the more current "commentator" or people will figure out when you were born and consider you an anachronism of sort.

Sand2008-11-09 19:48:42
This from the 1913 edition of the Webster Dictionary at the site I directed you.

Displaying 1 result(s) from the 1913 edition: Commenter (Page: 284)

Com"ment`er (?), n. One who makes or writes comments; a commentator; an annotator.

Which is the way I used it.

Why are you such an obvious jerk, Paparella?

Sand2008-11-09 20:36:51
This is your evaluation of Robert Heinlein in the light of his very good advice:

"
The problem arises when the pigmy of the intellect appeal to reason too, deluding himself that he is at a par with those giants and can dispense with them, when in reality he is merely a narcisist in love with his own image reflected in a pond."

Not exactly a calm emotional response.

Emanuel Paparella2008-11-09 22:51:42

As I said, ask the voices to gift you with a more up-dated dictionary and utilize the more current "commentator" or people will figure out when you were born and consider you an anachronism of sort.

In other words, the term is no longer in existence since 1828 but the voices in your head have obviously persuaded you to continue using it.

Emanuel Paparella2008-11-09 23:03:06
Since again, true to form, a quote has been taken out of context, here is the entire exchange clrearly indicating that the one being addressed is not Heinlein but the one using his authority to inveigh against authority; in other words, Mr. S.

Emanuel Paparella 2008-11-08 11:41:54
Robert A. Einlein must logically, or perhaps pardoxically, be an authority of sort in Mr. S.'s mind or he would not have bothered to quoted him.

Most giants of the intellect such as Plato, Aristotle, Da Vinci, Kant, do in fact appeal to the authority of reason and not to their puny ego when presenting their arguments.

The problem arises when the pigmy of the intellect appeal to reason too, deluding himself that he is at a par with those giants and can dispense with them, when in reality he is merely a narcisist in love with his own image reflected in a pond.

Alexander Mikhaylov2008-11-10 00:27:57
It seems to me that everybody attempt to express some 'coded' message... I simply wonder what that particular message might be?

Ann Smith2008-11-10 02:02:22
Dear TK, I am an American, not an Austrian, but I do not think anything funny in having a first name Adolf, or Vladimir, or George, or any other names parents might feel appropriate to burden their kids with. Nobody asked my opinion about my first name and I assume nobody asked your or you would not be named Thanos.Yes, sad but true, the blacks or Afro-Americans or Afro- Africans, have not shown the slightest capability to govern themselves and even less to govern other races. Look at Africa. After the Independence it went from crisis to crisis, and now we are back to shouldering the burden of White Man to make sure our brothers don’t kill, eat or torture themselves to death. Do I want to be governed by a back man? Hell, no! I’ll wait till they show the capacity to govern themselves. Till then I am ashamed that we let go the burden of the White Man, as Kipling said to bear the burden of governing ‘a half-savage and half-child.’ It is our collective shame that we let the kids (or savages) to care for themselves and we will have to bear the results. The starry heaven above us and the moral law within us scream for our duty to take a stand.

Alexandra Pereira2008-11-10 03:06:34
Dear Ann Smith:
Such a pearl of racist "wisdom" makes me shudder (did you actually understand that the man is not named Adolf for real, and who's the Adolf Thanos meant?) Congratulations, really repugnant sentences, the ones you came out with.

"sad but true, the blacks or Afro-Americans or Afro- Africans, have not shown the slightest capability to govern themselves and even less to govern other races. Look at Africa."
Dear Ann, governing is not a matter of race, but a matter of competence and a matter of the conditions under which one has to govern (by the way, Obama has been in the Senate and engaged in political activities for some time now, so he has some knowledge about "governing Whites" - just as Blacks or whatever race - by now, so it sounds a bit too late for your ridiculous protests to come out). Let me tell you, the ignorance that you display about historic facts such as colonialism and its long-lasting consequences when you affirm "look at Africa" indicates that you can not even govern what's going on inside your own head, White woman.

"The starry heaven above us and the moral law within us scream for our duty to take a stand."
Are you serious, lady?? Where did you get such distorted ideas from? The starry heaven shows no skin colour preference, does it?! Tell me, would you ever be governed by a red-haired, an asian-american, a green alien?

"Do I want to be governed by a back man? Hell, no! I’ll wait till they show the capacity to govern themselves."
I wonder:
1. Why are, for you, white leaders more legitimate to govern over blacks or asians or latinos than otherwise?
2. How do you relate skin colour with competence, but not intelligence nor common sense with competence???
3. How can someone show the capacity to govern if that person is not given the opportunity to?? (anyone, independently of race, and wherever in the world that person is governing)

"to bear the burden of governing ‘a half-savage and half-child.’"
You must know that this declaration of yours makes any healthy human being puke??

Alexandra Pereira2008-11-10 03:14:00
ps - you have a good remedy Ann: move to Austria. Though one never knows if you might come across a black skin fellow over there. You would better build a bunker to share with Emmerich and the delusions of you both... yes, that's right Ann... your affirmations are not acceptable. Go and join KKK (if you're not a loyal member yet).

Ann Smith2008-11-10 03:21:11
Dear Alexander, and how do you presume to judge my color? ‘I am not a lady, no am I white’, to refrase Goethe. A lesson to you, girlfriend, not to judge the people by their handle. I would not assume that you are a Latina perra, although all the indications point to that. If you don’t know your Kant, that is another unfortunate proof that we have failed to educate the natives. Mea culpa. Too bad that healthy human beings fail to read classics. More to redeem, I fear. I suggest you start with the Jungle Book, or check out the Disney version, if you have troubles reading as the most of Obama supporters do. Good luck!

Alexandra Pereira2008-11-10 04:09:41
Dear Ann:
So someone who hasn't troubles reading mistakes Alexander for Alexandra? Furthermore, I am sorry for presuming that you were a lady (quite adequately, you don't consider yourself as such), the name Ann surely indicates testicles. And sorry for presuming that you were white when you affirmed to be an American who repudiates both black skin people and latinos... I've mistaken you with an advocate of the white supremacy... something which you obviously are not.

Dear Ann, you sound like a bad-taste joke.

love,
the latina perra

Alexandra Pereira2008-11-10 04:22:55
ps - I wonder, being a perra, if a couple of cute black children could adopt me? :)

Alexandra Pereira2008-11-10 04:41:17
Don't get me wrong, it's just that I would love to use Ellen's presidential doghouse. Was Goethe pink, Kant orange, or are you an advocate of purple supremacy, Ann?

Ann Smith2008-11-10 05:06:58
Yes, sorry, you are a female. Alexandra, not Alexander, Why does it matter so much? Still, it was a misspelling, dear child. Sorry, yet again, I am sure you will find a nice family to call your own if that what you wish. I am sure the change of Obama reign will strech that far, to find a loving family for all the orphans in the world. My best wishes as always. Then again, why should we bother the gentle readers with your inspirations to find happiness? If you wish to get adopted, I am sure all the Ovi readers will join me in wishing you the best of luck and lots of happiness. Just don’t write about the things you have a wee bit of trouble to comprehend, ok? There is a good Alexandra. You, I am sure, know the best, whether you are a perra or a human being. In any case, I do respect your opinion. I love animals and democrats!

Alexandra Pereira2008-11-10 05:38:09
"Just don’t write about the things you have a wee bit of trouble to comprehend, ok?"
Please do explain, I am really curious about the way how you'll enlighten us all between Goethe and Kant quotes. Make me comprehend (you could start by answering my questions above directly) and see the light, please do your own share in the epic task of educating the natives.

"Then again, why should we bother the gentle readers with your inspirations to find happiness? (...) You, I am sure, know the best, whether you are a perra or a human being."
You wouldn't believe it, dear Ann, how there are times when it would represent a privilege for my "inspirations" to be part of the canine world and a good, faithful companion (adopted or not, a mutt or not), by comparison to peculiar human beings like yourself. Still waiting for your complete explanation of your Goethe and your Kant, and that vomit you like to call an apinion.

love,
the latin female dog

ps - you must only know two words in "the language of latinos": perra and taco, right?

AP2008-11-10 05:39:57

Alexandra Pereira2008-11-10 05:43:13
"There is a good Alexandra."
Please share your own insights on this, I'm even more curious about them.

Alexandra Pereira2008-11-10 05:58:00
Oh Ann-the-plumber-KKK-Smith, spread the light on our minds! Dissipate the shadow of the coloured skin ones! Help the "half savage-half child" ones to get out of the zoo! Share a "wee bit" more of the things you comprehend better with us, like your own theory of evolution and superiority beliefs.

Ann Smith2008-11-10 06:24:24
Dear chica, habla mas, mucho mas, then again, it must be boring for our gentle readers, so we must stick to the civilized idioma, so our gentle readers can follow our discussion. I am afraid I have no connection to the KKK or the plumbers, so if you have troubles with shit or Afro-Americans, I cannot help you. I guess the change should see you through, nina.
I pray for you and your misguided hermanos, dear soul. Peace, Pax. God be with you! Study hard!

Emanuel Paparella2008-11-10 10:39:06
Wow! We have come full circle with the comments under this article. Indeed, Ms. Smith aptly confirms your point, Thanos, if we needed further confirmation that the race of idiots is alive and well and far from extinct in every corner of the earth, out to impose their paradigm of reality on the rest of the world. We can assume that there are plenty others who will come out of the woods quoting Kant and the starry night above and the moral law within while preaching hatred and racial superiority, as unfortunately even Kant managed to do in one deplorable event of his life; which of course is no excuse for declaring his philosophy invalid as it has misguidedly been done. Ms. Smith’s comments also confirms my point that demagoguery, racism and stupidity go hand in hand and they exist in every continent as I pointed out in the very first comment under the article wholly missed by the Gran Inquisitor of political and linguistic correctness who took immediate issue with it as is his custom. Perhaps that is the point of stupidity all along: to attract attention to itself, which would be ok, even an exercise in free speech, if only it did not go along with demagoguery. What I am afraid of is that racists such as Ann Smith will not stop at mere bullying and racist rhetoric parading as free speech. I fear for the safety of our next president. The secret service will surely have their work cut out to protect him from that kind of racial fanaticism, the original shame of our country raising its ugly head again, out to make sure that the best ideals of this country, what is decent and good are trampled under their marching boots.

Thanos2008-11-10 12:25:49
To everybody,

We apologize we haven’t put the new articles online yet but there is a problem on the internet in finland due to a storm last night and they are still trying to fix the network.

Ann Smith, thank you for proving me right in my assumption that idiots are not endangered species, thank you also for proving that idiots can be dangerous.

Thanos2008-11-10 12:46:35
Ann Smith, your comments made more obvious that the ones not civilized are some white people –thankfully the last American elections proved that you are a small minority - and using randomly Kipling as a reference to your inability to understand where you live make me feeling sorry for you and all that you represent. Perhaps the fact that the new president of the USA is Barack Obama will help you!

Alexandra Pereira2008-11-10 15:49:40
Ann Smith:
"habla mas, mucho mas, then again, it must be boring for our gentle readers, so we must stick to the civilized idioma"
Yeah, even because you seem unable to use the verbs in the right person (I recognize that even though my uncivilized idioma is another one), so our conversation would be quite unintelligible.
I guess you didn't study hard enough or failed the grammar in the Disney books.

Your assumption that I am "a native latin bitch" based on my name is very morbidly amusing.
"I am afraid I have no connection to the KKK"
You don't? Girl, you don't know what you've been missing! It is a very entertaining social club for "literature lovers" like yourself!

Alexandra Pereira2008-11-10 16:02:11
Unfortunatelly, and contradicting your prejudices dear Ann, you're a White woman just like myself. That's when I'd rather be a dog.

Alexandra Pereira2008-11-10 18:37:32
Talk about lunatics...

Emanuel Paparella2008-11-10 19:30:51
I have a notion that Ann Smith is an alias but of course there is no way to prove it; not that it matters that much; alias or not it is still a splendid display of stupidity at its apex.
