A bride is suing a designer after her €3,500 wedding dress fell apart on her wedding day, leaving her semi-naked at the altar. The woman is now claiming damages of €35,000 from an Italian designer, who was not named.

Perhaps a well-timed reminder of the bride's hidden delights helped ease any doubts the bridegroom was having about saying "I do".

Pringles, the popular snack food in a tube, are not potato crisps, a High Court judge has ruled. Their packaging, "unnatural shape" and the fact that the potato content is less than 50% helped Mr Justice Warren make his decision.

Biscuit or not, my advice is not to dunk them in your coffee.

Britons must stop wasting food in an effort to help combat rising living costs, Gordon Brown has said en route to the G8 summit in Japan.

No word yet on the menu scheduled for the G8, although I'm sure it will consist of more than cheese and pickle sandwiches.

Swedish supergroup Abba will "never" perform on stage again, two of the band's members have said. Bjorn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson told The Sunday Telegraph, "We would like people to remember us as we were, young, exuberant and full of ambition."

Don't worry though: I'm sure another Greatest Hits album will be out before Christmas.

Guyanese authorities say a first-class airline passenger was so angry at seeing economy passengers leave a jetliner before him that he yanked open an emergency hatch and slid down the chute.

At least he was paying attention to the in-flight safety instructions.

Police marksmen shot dead a cow claiming it posed "a danger to the public". They said the animal was acting in a “very aggressive manner” after it escaped onto a busy road.

No police spokesman was available for comment because he was attending a hastily arranged barbecue.

Rafael Nadal held off an incredible fightback from Roger Federer to win his first Wimbledon title and end the Swiss star's reign at the All England Club.

As if Spain didn't have enough sporting achievements to celebrate over the past fortnight

AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani says Chelsea have made an "astronomical" bid for Kaka. The Blues have long been linked with a move for 26-year-old World Player of the Year and their boss is now ex-Brazil coach Luiz Felipe Scolari.

I'm not jealous… I'm not jealous… I'm not jealous…
