I dreamt of Electric horses Burning across the sky Over melting clocks On midnight beats, With sleeping angels And broken demons In ancient cafes and Whiskey bars.
Over rivers of steel And bitumen streets And wells and silos And neon signs; Where the heart Of the world Beats deep in The brown earth Waiting for our Better souls To rise.
I dreamt of Melting clocks And dripping time Over jazz bars And music halls And prisons And laundromats, Sleeping babies And sad old men.
I dreamt of Electric horses Flying over Desert bonfires And country Haystacks And grandmothers Gathered around Fireplaces And lonely men On oil rigs In a bitter cold Northern sea, And shamans And witch doctors And bleached bones On red Sahara sand.
I dreamt of love And salvation And redemption And the transcendence Of our better souls In a time when The earth was Green again, And we lived In innocence Like children.
I flew with The dreams Of the world, While electric horses Burned across the sky.
