What will happen When all the Rustic places Are gone?
The forest glens; Gorges and gullies, Rugged ravines And singing wrens; The clefts and canyons Covered with poplars And pines; Their scent Carried to Heaven on A gentle Breeze.
Foxes And hounds Darting under Luminous green Leaves light Falling in pools Like ballerinas Dancing on the grass; Among singing Warblers and aromas Wafting to the blue sky From a carpet Of flowers swaying Among juniper And thyme.
The children Singing, dancing In a circle under The trees with Daisy chains Resting on Their heads.
What will happen When all the Rustic places Are gone?
Where will The Forrest Nymphs and fairies live? Where will the Satyrs And woodland Spirits dwell?
Bucolic days Floating away Pining for the sea, The salt and the Coconut summer air.
What will happen When all the Rustic places Are gone?
