Former Republican Speaker of the House John Boehner has been out promoting his new book, On the House: A Washington Memoir. While visiting with the ladies of the ABC talk show The View, Boehner stated, "You know, I don't really beat up too many people in this book, except one, Ted Cruz, Lucifer in the flesh."

Well, in the age of social media, word travels fast. Even to Hell.

In response to Boehner’s comment, the Devil released a statement.

“John Boehner’s recent comment comparing me to Ted Cruz was incredibly inappropriate and hurtful. It was completely out of line. Boehner owes me an apology. That was way below the horns, buddy.”

The devil stated he had a copy of Boehner’s book shipped to him from Amazon. In it, Boehner also refers to Senator Ted Cruz as a “reckless a**hole.”

When asked his opinion about that, the Devil said, “I'll discuss the matter with Cruz personally at another time.”
