in a groove between two worlds
I heard the whisper of a distant star
that played first before the start,
and traveled beyond what’s now outside,

so the new day changed its persuasion,
and caught a streamer from ahead,
it laughed, and sensed its humor,
it cried, and found its heartbeat,

a crystal spectrum, shouting colors,
that ran against the edge of desires,
pretended to understand what’s light,
as if darkness could hide one’s truth,

and in the accelerated breathing second
before the ivory black run of midnight,
high against the winter’s half moon,
I climbed out of illusions and lived again.

(Carillon 2006)

Indeed, this poem brought me back to Rumi's poem on the illusion of knocking at the door from the inside wanting to know reasons... Sadly, we live in a split world: that of the humanities of "I-Thou" and that of rationalism of "I-it" and the two hardly speak to each other. Thank God for true poets who intimate a better world.
