To deer and dolphin forgive me. I have missed the mark and often, even if unintentionally, acted against you.
To lion and zebra elephant and giraffe to wolf and hare, bear and beaver to koala, panda, osprey and salmon…
Being human I have fallen from relationships, breaking away from the sacred hoop that binds us all.
It is for God by whatsoever name to oversee creation, the justice of diversity and to give definition to the habitat and identities of species.
To each of you my family of this Living Earth bless me with kindred pardoning. Now I pledge, in recovered humility, never again to be exclusively a man.
Welcome me back on this Earth Day of contrition, of celebration to rejoin in reverence the circle of life.
