A Cruel Spell to Cast

The Witches of Unhappiness appear when darkness falls. Known to despise and ferociously hunt any little girls that have mastered the art of Dreaming Awake. They gather on full moon nights at far away, secret forests to cast their magic circles in places hidden in the woods, over small ponds and lakes. Once a month, they perform their most cruel spell called “Bringing the Full Moon Down”.

They chant evil words over the reflection of the moon on the water. As the chanting becomes more and more intense, the moon becomes foggy and starts deluding on the sky. This is a particular painful thing to do to a full moon, since full moons really like their perfect circle shape.

It is the cruelty of this spell that will make the moon confess where those little, gifted girls hide. That is why after full moon nights, the moon starts hiding again. Of shame and guilt to have betrayed. It is because little girls love the moon so much and keep hugging it and singing to it, that it recovers and starts becoming full anew.
