The other day I had morning visitors and I didn’t really have time to go out for some biscuits or buns, so I thought that nothing compares to a nice soft cake with coffee and you cannot compare it to any industrial biscuits or cakes. When I said that it is very simple and it took just 15 minutes to prepare and 40 minutes in the oven, my visitors had doubts, so here it is!
Ingredients:
125 gr. butter 1 cup sugar 3 eggs 1 teaspoon vanilla 1 ½ cup all-purpose flour 1 ½ teaspoon baking powder ½ cup milk 5 teaspoons black cocoa
Preparation:
Pre-heat the oven to 180 C Melt the butter on a low heat and when it is fairly cold mix with the sugar. Beat the eggs well and add the vanilla. Combine flour and baking powder in a separate bowl. Then combine all the ingredients in the bowl starting with the eggs and then the butter and the sugar. In the end you add the milk, as much you need to have a soft mixture. In a smaller bowl put half a cup of the mixture, add the black cocoa and some milk, and mix it well until it becomes one dark chocolate mixture. Use a round cake pan and grease it well with butter, then spread half the mixture and make sure that it has spread to all the pan. With the help of a spoon put the chocolate and spread it around and then add on the top the rest of the mixture. Let it bake for 35 40 minutes, when it starts getting brown on the top is ready.
What remains is to let your fantasy free when you serve it, you can add chocolate chips, cream or even ice-cream!
