A case for Guinness

bizzare_guinness_400British drinks maker Diageo will spend millions on a new brewery near Dublin, but Guinness fans in Britain and Ireland will still get their dark beer from the historic brewery in the heart of the Irish capital.

The London-based beer and spirits maker said on Friday it will renovate its central Dublin brewery at St James's Gate to supply these drinkers, but will close two smaller sites by 2013 and cut its Irish brewery workforce by more than half.

But nothing matters so long as you get your pint of Guinness from the …right place!

Restaurant Bans Children

bizzare_restaurantManagement for a popular Silverton restaurant announced Thursday that young children would no longer be allowed into the establishment. The manager at the Red Thai restaurant on Oak Street said children younger than 6 aren't welcome in the eatery.

The Red Thai manager, Craig Gereau, said children disrupt people who are trying to enjoy a quiet dinner. He said most of his customers like the new rule, but he's had to turn some people away.

And then they all hold hand and sing …we are the world, we are the children!!!

Witchcraft against the Iraq war

bizzare_magicMembers of the anti-war group Code Pink gathered Friday with a cauldron of flowers outside a controversial Marine Corps Recruiting Center in Berkeley, Calif., to use witchcraft to rally against the Iraq war. Code Pink members unfurled a pink banner reading "Troops Home Now" and waved signs as they began the protest, which they promised would include incantations and pointy hats for a "witches, crones and sirens" day.

"Women are coming to cast spells and do rituals and to impart wisdom to figure out how we're going to end war," Zanne Sam Joi of Bay Area Code Pink told FOXNews.com. A few women stood outside the recruiting center Friday with signs that read "Peace" and "Warmongers — Eating Our Children for Profit." Many wore pink T-shirts.

You put a spell on me … I’m in a good singing mood!!

Doomed machine gun gang

bizzare_gymThree armed gangland “soldiers” suffered a serious defeat at the hands of police when they tried to carry on a blood feud with rivals in a crowded gym. A court heard that the trio barged into the weights room and punched a member of an opposing gang, before threatening him with a sub-machine gun in front of shocked onlookers.

But the members of Manchester's Gooch Close gang did not realize uniformed police officers were next door in the leisure centre, giving a talk on the dangers of gun crime. Alerted by other gym users, the officers called in an armed response unit. They caught the gangsters, who had fled in a getaway car, after a brief chase through nearby alleyways in the Whalley Range district of the city. Senior police officers said the arrests in July were a significant victory over a gang that has terrorized South Manchester for the past two decades.

Man they are going to keep away from the prison’s gym!

Not to offend Hindus

bizzare_beef_400British Airways has taken beef off the menu for economy passengers amid concerns about its "religious restrictions". The airline has instead switched to a fish pie or chicken dish option for the so-called "cattle class" passengers.

BA's second-biggest long-haul market is to India, where the majority Hindu population does not eat beef because of their beliefs.

So now we switch to Indian airlines because they got fantastic roast beef!!!

The …third wife

bizzare_thirdwife_400A third woman came forward today to say that she, too, is married to a Clayton man who already is charged with being married to two women at the same time. Jenean Baker, 34, of Atlanta said she and Keron Wilkins wed Nov. 25, 2005 in Miami. She said Wilkins had her name tattooed on his chest.

Wilkins, 30, is in jail on a bigamy charge. He is accused of marrying Shannetta Dawn Stone, 32, of Richmond, Va., on March 20 while he was also married to Chaka Miles Wilkins, his wife of eight years and the mother of his children, ages 4 and 8 months. Stone said he shared an apartment with her in Cary while he also was living with Chaka Wilkins in Clayton.

And I have difficulties with one …nagging!!!
