I watched Clinton and Obama debate on TV the other night. Each had to prove better than the other -- while both had to avoid giving the Republicans too much fodder for the run off. I had the impression that both of these people have extraordinary qualities, assets that our country needs and deserves. I also noted that the Republicans are running only one guy, avoiding the crap generated in the primaries and (tactically) saving their push for the final race. The Republican approach is strong -- as any chess player will tell you.

I believe that between Obama and Clinton there is enough of a force to win the presidency and re-establish the humanistic values that both candidates stand for. It is apparent that while they tear each other apart, the Republicans are setting the stage for their own victory. If we want the Democrats to have a fighting chance in this election, something must be done.

What? -- Clinton and Obama must immediately end the indecisiveness in the Democratic Party by announcing that they have decided to run as a team. A serious scan of the stats and demographics indicates that with Clinton as presidential candidate and Obama as Vice Presidential candidate the Democratic Party will stand a very good chance of taking the 2008 elections.

Those who criticise the Bush administration all seem to have good reasons for their critique. None of the critics seems to notice that Bush has held office through these turbulent times, often with apparent incompetency, but without resistance. Divisiveness in the Democratic
Party will pave the way for McCain to use this road paved by Bush for a continued status quo government.

This scenario will not offer change or growth. Only if Obama will swing in behind Clinton -- pull the Democratic Party together, will there be a chance to re-pave that old tired road.

Think about i

Let us now look at the other side of the coin by asking a question: those who'd rather bring the house down (let Samson die and all the Philistines) rather than respect a democratic counting of the primaries' votes and the will of the people, to conceede that the other candidate should be on top of the ticket, are they really ready to be president? Think about it.

I have the feeling that a lot of people feel that Hillary and Obama should run as a team.
