All over the world people are paying for gas for their cars at an outrageous price. Everyone knows the oil companies are taking them for a ride and we all realize by now our government leaders are doing nothing at all to end this madness. The very leaders we put into office sit by and have watched each and every one of us being raped and won't lift a finger to help us. Somebody had to say it.

I have watched here in America, the country I love, turn from the land where dreams come true to the land of the greedy and self-seeking. It truly breaks my heart, as I am sure it does to millions of people. This should never have happened to America.

However, it’s worldwide and never going to end as long as we do nothing. Let me make it clear that I blame the oil companies that are raking it in by the billions. They couldn't care less about the struggles and suffering of the people. When there is money to be made fairness always goes out the window. I am tired of the excuses we are given as well as the blame game being passed around. The bottom line is clear by the profits being made by the oil companies.

Yet there is some blame to be laid at the feet of the people. We complain to anyone who will listen to us and perhaps join one of the 'Don’t buy gas on Monday' groups but then we just shut up and take it. Well it's time to stop taking it. If we the people won't join together and fight back then don’t we in a way deserve it? What has happened to us all that we do nothing to stand up for our rights?

Our so-called leader should have all ready been sent packing when we saw them do nothing to stop the oil companies from sticking it to us. Kick them all out of office and let them work at McDonald’s. They have no business in any form of leadership. If we don’t force them out and knock them out of their comfortable seat they will never do anything for us the people.

I realize that many people are so busy just trying to survive that they have no time to protest or march to their state capitals and let their voice be heard. However, pay strict attention to how everything from food to utilities jumped on the bandwagon and raised prices as soon as the oil companies got away with it. They all saw us sit back and take it and wanted to cash in on our money as well. Greed, my friends, pure greed. They will not stop until we fight back.

There are many out there who hate the gas price but can afford it so you do very little. Yet million upon millions are cutting down on food in order to pay the price of the gas. They are doing without, dose anybody hear that. Do we just ignore or pretend the hardships and struggles are not real to so many human beings. Our world leaders are holding a gun to the head of people forcing them to pay through the nose for everything and all the time fully understand they are promoting hunger.

So what do we do you may ask. It’s really simple. Write to everybody in public office and let him or her know you plan to kick him or her out of office unless they do something about gas prices at once. Nobody anywhere buy gas for a week in protest of high gas prices. Then do this every month until you get justice. Stay home and get to know your families and friends and refuse to pay the oil companies anymore of your hard earned money. Jam the switchboard of your president and all officials in office. Scream and yell until you are heard. Let them know were not going to sit back and do nothing any longer.

Al Gore just wrote a book which I believe is titled "The Assault on Reason." Having been a politician for most of his life, he ought to know. It may be worth reading.
