Silent Symphony

Doused in
Laughter and joy,
Awash with cries
img_1113_the_last_cheyenne_brave_400And glass tears;
They mingled
Under the stars,
Red poppies
Floating,
Tumbling on
The stony
Courtyard.

The scattered
Petals of
Supplicants
Announcing
Their prayers
And deep
Fears.

'O lord,
Send me
Your guide,
And let me be
The architect
Of my dreams.'

'O lord,
Send me
A pallet and
Paintbrush,
And let me be
The artist of
My desires.'

'O lord,
Send me a
Pen and
Paper, and
Let them be
The author
Of my soul.'

Hands
Stretched up
To the heavens,
Thus they
Prayed;
Drifting up
With
Wisps of
Smoke
Smudging
The crystal
Stars.

Among
The floating
Red poppies;
With laugher
And tears,
They tumbled
Over the
Stony
Courtyard
Caught in
A twirling
Embrace.

Dark,black
Trees;jagged
Against the
Haunting
Shadows,
At one with
The silent
Symphony
Of their fates.
