The Sirocco Wind

The clipper
Cleaved the
Waves under
The Minotaur
Sun.

img_1153_400The soft
Sirocco winds
Billowing
The sails as
The sun yolk
Melts into the
Sea.

Splashing
Into the falling
Calling waves,
The dolphin
Song echoes
Deep.

The
Mermaids
Resting in
Their sleep,
We sailed past
Many lands;
The beatnik
Poets of
Tangiers,
The dashing
Pirates of
Algiers,the
Dancing
Barbers
Of Brazil.

Amongst
The ports
And coffee
Bars of the
Sea,spices
Mingled with
Moroccan
Myrrh.

The
Tangerines
Falling to the
Ground,to the
Thick staccato
Beats of the
Tambourine,
Amongst the
Whirring gypsy
Smiles.

As rosy
Fingered
Dawn spread
Her fingers
Across the sky,
The soft sirocco
Winds sang her
Name.

Under
The Minotaur
Sun I smiled.
