Ponytail
In an underwater Cave I swam, floating Amongst the seaweed Like a dream,
As the notes tinkled from the Piano, splashing into the water Like raindrops casting Ripples;I thought Of the girl with the ponytail Hair.
While the red petals Fell to the earth like Kisses,I sprouted Wings and flew Over the green fields and meadows, Over the streams and countryside, With the haunting cypress trees Jutting out of the Earth like The fingers of some ancient god Thrust upwards through the earth; I thought of the girl with The ponytail hair.
Flying, flying, Caught in her gaze, Her ruby lips, Her luscious hips My hand gently hugging The curves of her body Like a racing car hugs the curves Of some coastal road; I thought of the girl with the ponytail hair.
Then the doors opened, and I fell back into the silken Pillows of Aladdin's cave, With the opened treasure chests Brimming with diamonds, rubies, sapphire And gold; I thought of The girl with the ponytail Hair.
For one moment, one hour, One day; I would give all this up Just to hold in my arms, The girl with the ponytail hair.
