The Muse
By Nikos Laios

fgndfg01_400The muse smiled as
Her blonde hair splashed
Playfully over her shoulder
Like a foaming waterfall
Into the raging river
Below.

While her blue eyes
Languidly smiled
At the summer day,
Her heart frolicking
Like a child.

As the wind caressed
Her cheeks, for she
Was in full bloom, and
Eyes closed, threw
Back her head sensually,
Caught in the moment.

As aromatic flowers
Adorned her hair,
I scattered the
Crushed rose petals
Of my desire on her
Naked body, and
The muse smiled.

Then,at that one
Shining moment,
I was renewed; for
My muse smiled,
Infusing my life
With joy.
